This tour begins at the Tucson Presidio Museum, a recreation of a portion of the fort that was home to the Spanish and Mexican people of Tucson for 80 years. From there, it goes through the courthouse plaza, Barrio Viejo, and through downtown. You will learn about the people, places and events that made Tucson. For more than 4000 years, Tucson has been inhabited. This 2.5 hour walking tour takes you through approximately 2.5 miles of some of the city's most historic sites.
Barrio Viejo Tour

For over 100 years Barrio Viejo was a vibrant blue-collar, multi-cultural melting pot and is the birthplace of the modern culture. This 1.5 hour/1 mile walk will take you through the largest collection of historic adobe houses in the United States and what Conde Nast has named one of 12 places to see in the U.S. in 2024.
Santa Cruz River and Mission Garden History Tour

Tucson has more water than you might think. This 2 mile/2 hour tour begins at the Mission Garden, a recreation of the walled garden that existed at the San Agustin Mission complex from the late 1700s. This walk will take you through the gardens and explain the history of the site. It takes you down into the mostly dry riverbottom of the Santa Cruz River. Learn about Tucson's history with the river and water. Because of the Santa Cruz River, Tucson is one of the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the United States, with the oldest irrigation canals in North America. Find out who and what affected it's demise.
